the 1990's AOL (America Online) days were the start of internet slang where online chatting and instant messaging was born. Apps (called programs then) like ICQ (I Seek You), AIM (AOL instant messenger) and IRC (internet relay chat) reigned supreme. in the 90's, you had to connect to the internet on a 14.4 28.8 and later 56k modem to get online, possibly tying up your parents phone line for days lol. I was inspired by those days of AOL chat rooms, instant messages and slang to create this parody shirt. I included A/S/L? first, which means age/sex/location, if you are old you'll get this one. Everyone would introduce themselves at some point by stating their age/sex/location i.e. 25/M/San Francisco. The second one I included was slang for saying hi, which you rarely see now, SUP!, shortened from Whats up!. And the third box I included was AFK (away from keyboard), which you would use to let people know you weren't looking at the screen. No one uses AFK anymore, because sadly we're never away from the keyboard (our phones are always right there!).
